The Mt. SAC Regional Consortium for Adult Education (MTSAC-RC) is an effort supported by recent state legislation (AB104 and AB86), designed to align, leverage and expand instructional and programmatic services to ensure adult learners enrolled in local programs move along established pathways to achieve optimum levels of literacy, post-secondary transition and employment in the workforce.

We provide the following programs:

  • Adult Basic and Secondary Education (ABE/ASE) - Elementary and secondary skills, including programs leading to a high school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • Adults Training for Child School Success (ATCSS) - Programs for adults, including but not limited to, older adults that are primarily designed to develop knowledge and skills to assist elementary and secondary-aged children to succeed academically in school.
  • Adults with Disabilities (AWD) - Programs for adults with disabilities.
  • Career Technical Education (CTE) - Programs in career technical education that are short-term in nature and have high employment potential. This includes Pre-Apprenticeship (Pre-App) - Programs offering pre-apprenticeship training activities conducted in coordination with one or more apprenticeship programs; and Education for Older Adults/Workforce (EOA/Workforce) - Programs for adults, including but not limited to, older adults that are primarily related to entry or reentry into the workforce.
  • English as a Second Language (ESL) - Programs for immigrants inclusive of citizenship, English as a second language and workforce preparation.
